How it all began

Photography has always been a part of my life. I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t interested in capturing the world around me. My first real passion was landscape photography. I loved being outdoors, trying to capture those big, wide open spaces and changing skies. There was something peaceful about it. As time went on, I started to feel like I wanted something more dynamic. Landscape photography had a certain predictability to it, and I was drawn to something more spontaneous. That’s when I shifted to film photography. Film gave me a different perspective. It was less about precision and more about capturing real moments as they happened. The grainy texture and imperfect focus added character to the images. I loved the spontaneity of it, the fact that you didn’t always know exactly what you were going to get was part of the fun. Alongside my love for photography, I’ve always had a deep connection to dogs. Now I have three of my own! Their personalities, quirks, and emotions are hard to describe in words, but I realized I could capture those things with a camera. I started experimenting with taking photos of my dogs, and that’s when I realized pet photography was where I wanted to focus my energy. After a lot of practice with my own dogs, I decided to take the plunge and open The Leash’s Studio. So i could capture the joy, the love, and the little quirks that make each dog so unique. Looking back, it’s been an interesting journey. From landscape photography to film, and eventually finding my way to pet photography, each step has brought me closer to where I am today. I’m so thankful that I get to do something I’m passionate about and that I can share that with other dog lovers. Thanks for reading my story. I look forward to capturing your dog’s personality through the lens!
